The River Lee hotel has teamed up with a luxury natural beauty brand to create a limited edition afternoon tea menu that’s actually good for your skin.

A favourite among beauty editors for their Modern Botany Oil, a completely natural, unisex multi-tasker for the face, body, hair and nails, this year, West Cork’s Modern Botany also released a natural deodorant made entirely of skin-safe oils.

Now they’ve worked with the River Lee’s chefs to put together a menu of cakes made with natural, skin-health promoting botanicals like chamomile, flax and marigold, all served as art of the new Modern Botany Afternoon tea.

Inspired by the natural skin health promoting Irish botanicals in the range, the menu features Carrageen moss pudding with chamomile and honey and an orange and polenta cake with a calendula cream mousseline.

There’s also an Earl Grey chocolate Choux bun and a green tea and pineapple tartlet – all gorgeously presented for your Instagramming pleasure.
