OMG- This lovely Easter festival is the spring treat we deserve

Brought to you by Easter Festival at Mallow Castle.
Nutella-drenched crepes; hot jacket potatoes; delicious beverages…
If these items all feature on your ‘perfect day’ laundry list, cancel your plans for the Easter weekend.
Instead, grab a gang of mates and head for North Cork, where everything will be set up for three days of absolute outdoorsy decadence.
Easter Festival at Mallow Castle is a family affair and there’s heaps of cool stuff happening.
Now that the Beast from the East has gone back to wherever he came from, it’s time to venture back out into nature.
You can expect bouncy castles, a rodeo bull, gyroscope and face-painting to entertain the kids, while family members of all ages will get a kick out of the dog show, acrobatic circus acts, stilt walkers, jesters, and clowns.
Live music acts will perform throughout the Castle grounds, while the Easter-themed Marquee hosts a live puppet show from Dowtcha Puppets – guaranteed to enthral the little ones.
Meanwhile foodies will be like kids in a candy store; the Food & Craft Fair runs on Saturday and Sunday with more than 60 stalls and all sorts of naughty delights to enjoy.
We’re talkin’ sticky barbecue ribs, juicy pulled pork burgers, French confectionery, steaming hot baked potatoes and artisan coffee, for a start.
*drools*
The Marquee will play host to a delectable breakfast of chocolate-dipped strawberries, Nutella smothered crepes, donuts, fresh juices and sparkling cider on both Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday, accompanied by some easy listening music.
Jazz trio Jazoo will perform live in the Marquee on Saturday and Sunday morning at 11am.
Tickets for this go on sale soon and at just €15 (including entry and breakfast, email info@countrylifestyle.ie for more information) they’re an absolute bargain.
On Easter Monday you can watch several pipe bands compete in the grand finale of the festival weekend on the Castle grounds – we can’t think of a better way to blow off the cobwebs!
The best bit? It all takes place in the great outdoors, so you can work up an appetite in the fresh air and spring sunshine.
Easter Festival at Mallow Castle takes place from March 31st – April 2nd with three days of awesome family fun activities daily from 10am to 4pm. It’s all part of the Racing Home for Easter Festival, which coincides with the traditional Easter racing meeting at Cork Racecourse Mallow. For directions on how to get to Mallow, click here.
