Ah yes, nothing like a July deluge.
At a time when most of us dream of barbecue dinners and trips to the beach, Met Éireann has poured cold water on summer 2020 once again, issuing a Status Yellow Rainfall warning for today.
Valid from 9am today until 7am on Thursday, the alert, which covers Cork and Kerry, brings the following news: “Spells of heavy rainfall, 25 to greater than50 mm. Spot flooding, locally poor visibility and poor driving conditions are expected.”

In more uplifting news, it will be dry and humid tomorrow with good sunshine developing by the afternoon but showery rain will move into coasts towards the evening. Highest temperatures will range between 20 and 22 degrees.
