City tattoo studio Black Poppy has opened a second location, with a new studio now open overlooking the water at The Boat Yard container market in Cobh.

The business joins Roasted Coffee, Hook’d, Hansum and Harbour Burger at the popular spot, where you can now drop in for lunch and a walk-in chat about your next piece of ink.

Owner Barbara ‘Gin’ Naggi said the scenic new location, a sister studio to her Father Matthew Street HQ, is the result of much careful planning by her team, who are determined to make tattooing as kind to the environment as possible.

“Everything we use down here, we make an effort for it to be eco-friendly, biodegradable, and sustainable,” Naggi told us.

“We try and avoid plastics when we can and we’re very excited about the container build as that’s being upcycled into our workspace.”
