North Main Street is closing for a Carnival (and they want you to bring your dog)

It’s one of the quirkiest areas in town.
And this weekend, North Main Street’s traders are inviting everyone in the city (and their dog) over to theirs for a full day of fun.
The North Main Street Carnival will take place on Saturday, August 26th, with an impressive lineup of bands and musicians taking to the stage throughout the afternoon.
The street will be closed to traffic all day for the event, allowing food stalls to set up shop throughout, with fire-eaters, face-painting, and farm animals all part of the fun from 12pm until 6pm.
And you can even bring a canine companion:
“For pet lovers, the North Main Street Carnival has a special treat in store – a captivating dog show that will showcase the incredible talents and charm of our four-legged companions.” the organisers told us.
☀️☀️ Hope the sun shines for North Main Street Carnival this Saturday 12pm-6pm. Street will be closed to traffic to facilitate the fun! 🎈🎊🎡

“From awe-inspiring tricks to adorable antics, the dog show promises to be a heartwarming and entertaining segment of the event.”
“The North Main Street Carnival marks a significant milestone for our area, as it introduces a completely new event that we’re optimistic will become an annual tradition,” they added.
“This inaugural event has the potential to foster stronger community bonds, create lasting memories, and pave the way for even more exciting gatherings in the future.”
