More than 90% of Irish people over the age of 12 have received Covid vaccine
What an achievement.
90.4% of all Irish people over the age of 12 have now received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Brian MacCraith, Chair of the High Level Task Force on Covid 19 shared the latest milestone numbers on Twitter this morning. Ireland is also now number one in the European Union for percentage of adults fully vaccinated, with 91% of everyone over-18 now in that category.
93% of adults have received at least one dose, and 90.3% of the population of 16 have been fully vaccinated.

The latest figures come as 11 pop-up vaccinations centres have been announced at third-level institutions across the country, including at UCC and Munster Technological University.
The pop-up centres will start operations next week, in order to “ensure maximum uptake across the student population.”
