Missing your meze? Good news: Nosta is open for delivery and collection

By Yay Cork May 15, 2020May 15, 2020

Brought to you by Nosta.

Our weekend dinner plans just got more exciting.

Nosta is open with a selection of Turkish Mediterranean dishes now available for collection and delivery – perfect for a summery meal to enjoy al fresco in the garden.

As well as employing some of the soundest staff in the industry, the restaurant, which opened its doors on Marlboro Street in 2012, is famous for its rustic salads, meze and marinated chargrilled skewers served with fresh flatbreads for soaking up every last drop of flavour.

It’s take-out food that’s as healthy as it is delicious; a win/win during the lockdown.

New to Nosta?

You’re in for a treat. Here’s a tip: try the Ezme, a zingy Turkish mashed salad with tomato, peppers, onions, parsley, mixed herbs, lemon juice and olive oil or the Tzatziki, strained yoghurt with fresh garlic, cucumber and mint.

Make sure you add in a portion of the Cheese Rolls (flaky filo pastry rolls stuffed with herbs, ricotta cheese and parsley) on the side.

If you can’t choose, order the Starter Platter (€16) of tzatziki, ezme, aubergine salad and hummus served with house bread for a little taste of all the house favourites.

Seafood lovers are well catered for two – the Seafood Platter (€18) includes fresh deep-fried calamari, salmon and prawns, all served with tartar sauce.

There are some excellent deals available too:

  • The Nosta Sharing Platter for two: €49

The perfect feast for two people, the Nosta Sharing Platter includes a choice of two house meze and three of Niko’s famous chargrilled skewers (lamb, chicken, kofta or Spicy Acili Adana), alongside bread, sauces for dipping, a fresh side salad and a choice of fries or rice and two soft drinks.

  • The Nosta Sharing Platter for four: €80

If you’re ordering in for the whole gang, the larger spread includes chargrilled skewers in your choice of flavour for four people, as well as bread, sauces for dipping, a fresh side salad and a choice of fries or rice and four soft drinks.

Keep everyone happy

Nosta offers a full pasta menu, a mean steak sandwich and a choice of tasty burgers too, as well as a kids menu, so it’s ideal for keeping picky eaters happy. And don’t forget dessert; the Peanut Caramel Chocolate Tart (€7) is a thing of beauty: caramel-covered digestive biscuit filled with a caramel peanut layer and peanut butter mousse, all topped with chocolate ganache. Yum.

Ready to eat? Hit the website here to put in an order for collection (ready in 15 minutes) or delivery (dropped to your door within the city in 45 minutes). To discuss your order or pay over the phone, call Nosta, 4 Marlboro Street, Cork (T12 WN26) on 021 4949 724. No cash payments.
