Met Éireann says there’s more heavy rain in store but it’s a ‘fairly mild’ week ahead

It’s more of the same for the week.
After a mixed bag on the weather front all weekend, Met Éireann says this week will be wet and blustery with more heavy rain on the way.
“Any residual mist and low cloud will clear during the morning leaving sunny spells and scattered showers and some may turn heavy at times.” the national forecaster reports.
Highest temperatures will hover around 12 to 15 degrees in moderate west to southwest winds.
The showers will become more isolated for a time early in the night with some clear spells developing but cloud and showers will increase again towards Tuesday morning.
More persistent and heavy rain will extend from the south during Tuesday afternoon and evening. It’ll be a windy night with heavy rain and thunder forecast, although it will remain mild after dark with lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.
As it stands, Wednesday is looking blustery with scattered showers and highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.
