Met Éireann says it’s about to LASH in Cork (for 24 hours)

It’s going to be a wet one.
Don’t leave the house without a decent heavy duty brolly tomorrow morning; Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow – Rainfall warning for Cork, Kerry, Connacht, Donegal, Clare and Limerick.
According to the national forecasters, rain will turn heavy and persistent on Friday and on Friday night, bringing the risk of localised flooding.
So much for an Indian summer while the kids head back to school.
Rainfall totals of 30-50mm are expected in the next 36 hours, higher in mountainous areas.
The warning remains in place from 6am on Friday, August 30th, 2019 until Saturday morning.
