Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow – Rain warning for Cork and Kerry for the coming 24 hours.
The forecasters have warned that rain will turn heavy at times overnight tonight and on Wednesday morning, potentially leading to localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
The alert is valid from midnight tonight, Tuesday, until noon on Wednesday.

In the meantime, it will remain warm and humid today with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees, becoming breezier later with moderate to fresh and gusty southwest winds.
Temperatures will hover between 10 and 14 degrees after dark.
From Wednesday on, it will be cooler with some rain, especially on Thursday night and Friday in the south and southeast, but overall a good deal of dry weather is predicted after the deluge.
