Exceptional food has put this Cork farm on a list of Ireland’s best wedding venues
It’s a part of the day that guests will remember.
And if you’re determined to make the food the star of your wedding celebration, two Cork venues have come out tops when it comes to their dining experience.
Wedding planning website SaveMyDay.ie has featured Camus Farm and Fernhill House, both in Clonakilty, in their list of the best foodie wedding venues in Ireland.
While Fernhill House has long been a popular choice for brides and grooms (they even serve their very own Fernhill Garden Gin), Camus Farm is a relatively new option for couples seeking a rustic spot to tie the knot.
Set in 30 acres of West Cork countryside, Camus Farm’s husband and wife-run foodie destination The Field Kitchen prioritises sustainability, biodiversity and animal welfare at the heart of everything they do.
Vic Sprake and Deborah Ní Chaoimhe’s award-winning restaurant offers an authentic field-to-table experience with much of the produce grown or reared on their own organic farm.
Their chef is Bob Cairns who turns their homegrown and reared organic produce into mouth-watering, wholesome, seasonal dishes with vegetarian and vegan options being a speciality.
Recipients of the Georgina Campbell Newcomer of the Year award in 2021, Camus Farm were also selected for the 2022 Irish Times Best Restaurants Awards, with critics raving about their Grilled Florence Onion with courgette and romesco, Chargrilled Cucumber and Brown Butter Breadcrumbs with tahini yoghurt and herbs, Chargrilled Striploin of Hereford Beef with a salad of purple beans, tomatoes and Carolus potatoes and Lemon Posset with salted honey and fennel biscuit.

Fernhill House and Camus Farm Field Kitchen join renowned venues such as Dublin’s Pichet restaurant and Jack’s Coastguard restaurant in Kerry in the list of foodie top spots.
