McDonald’s Shamrock Shake is back – and now you can have one delivered

It’s practically a Paddy’s Day tradition.
Now McDonald’s has announced it has already brought back its famous Shamrock Shake for 2020, and this year you’ll be able to indulge in the garish green treat for even longer.
The shake, concocted by blending creamy vanilla soft serve with mint Shamrock Shake syrup, is on sale in all McDonald’s outlets in Cork now and will be available for a limited time only; basically you have until March 24th to get your hands on one.
That’s something that’s easier than ever this year since you can now have one delivered to your door with McDelivery thanks to Uber Eats, should you be so inclined.
In case you’re interested, The Shamrock Shake was first invented in Chicago in 1970. By 1973, McDonald’s had dumped the original lemon/lime sherbet flavour and replaced it with a simple green coloured vanilla shake. These days it’s the only McDonald’s shake with a mint flavour.
Keep in mind however; a large Shamrock Shake will set you up with roughly 488 calories so order a small if you’re planning on making it a regular treat.
