Make your food photos look Instagram-perfect with a DIY class at Ballymaloe

There’s an art to taking the perfect food photo.
From the patterned plate underneath to the tantalising shine on a swirl of custard, the best food photographers bring each dish to life… and now you can too.
Award-winning Cork food stylist and photographer Monika Coghlan is hosting an interactive Food Styling & Photography Workshop at Ballymaloe this June.
Ideal for chefs, restaurateurs, food business owners, food bloggers and wannabe food photographers, the morning workshop runs from 9.30am to 2pm at Ballymaloe Grainstore in Shanagarry on Saturday, June 15th, 2019.
Although it’s only one morning, the schedule features pretty much everything you need to know to get you started on your own projects.
Participants will get a good introduction to cameras, lenses and other equipments as well as camera settings, lighting, composition, backdrops and props.
Post Processing in Adobe Lightroom and Snapseed will also form part of the tutorial, along with mobile photography and a how-to on shooting in restaurants.
The workshop costs €180 (including a three-course lunch) and tickets are available to book now on Eventbrite. You can check out some of Monika’s beautiful work on her website.
