Looking for love? RTÉ is seeking Cork singles for a new dating TV show

It’s been a rough year for singletons.
But if you’re looking for love and eager to make up for lost time after 12 months of lonely lockdowns, RTÉ is offering to help you in your search for The One.
Producers at the Derry-based TV company Alleycats are on the hunt for Cork participants for a new dating show set to be broadcast on RTÉ2.
And the timing couldn’t be better; the past year has seen the rise of ‘new dawn daters’ – people who are newly single after experiencing a break-up during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to a survey of Bumble users, 23% of people using the dating app are new dawn daters. While the biggest driver of break-ups was the inability to see a partner (46%), one in three people (33%) also said that the pandemic exacerbated existing issues.
Either way, there should be plenty of willing participants eager to allow a bunch of strangers to pick them a partner.
“We are looking for single people in Cork who are looking for love and up for the craic!” the Alleycat crew told us.
All you have to do is email dating@alleycats.tv for more information.
