Long week? This evening relaxation workshop will help you decompress before Monday

Craving a little time just for you?
If everyday worries and stress leave you feeling frazzled by Friday, Himalaya Yoga Valley has just the remedy.
Senior teacher Lisa Fahy will be leading a live YINstorative workshop online at 7pm on Sunday, April 18th, inviting participants to ‘deeply unwind, relax and rejuvenate’ from the comfort of your own home.
“The session will include specific pranayama (breathing exercises) to balance and calm your nervous system,” says Lisa.
“Yin and restorative asanas (yoga postures) will be next, these are long-held, deeply relaxing stretches that release aches, tension and emotions from your body while switching to the parasympathetic nervous system for overall improved health and wellbeing.”

This is followed by a long yoga nidra, a guided meditation practised lying down and considered to be even more restful than sleep.
“To get the most from the evening please dress comfortably and make sure you are warm and have plenty of props – pillows, cushions and blankets,” says Lisa.
“All levels of experience are welcome, including complete beginners, so just get your comfiest PJs on and enjoy a night of pure relaxation that will feel great for the mind, body and soul.”
Tickets are €20 here and everyone who signs up also gets access to the content for 48 hours, in case you can’t take part on Sunday evening.
