When the sun is splitting the stones, there are few things that hit the spot better than a generous helping of homemade gelato or ice cream.
It’s the ultimate cool-down.
Down by the waterfront in Cobh, Scoops Gelato is getting very inventive with its sundae specials, creating outrageous stacks of gelato, covered in mouthwatering chocolatey layers, and decorated with some of our favourite chocolate bars.
We’re also absolutely obsessed with the ice cream and chocolate chip cookie sandwich, not to be outdone by the hot gelato doughnut (yes you read that right) covered in melted chocolate and coloured sprinkles.
As the sign says, “it’s like a donut, but it’s an ice cream, but it’s a donut and it’s hot…”. Trust us, you have to try it to understand it.
Then there’s the Cadbury caramel egg sundae with caramel sauce, Nutella, chocolate chips, and caramel fudge…
