A stitch in time saves nine, but what if you’re no good with a needle?
She is Sustainable Cork is back with its first event aimed at solving this little problem while spreading the word about the positive choices we can make when it comes to what we wear.
She is Sustainable events invite participants and speakers to ‘reflect, plant, plot and support each other’.
Following on from their sold-out conference back in March this year, the group’s first ever Cork Clothes Swap will be held on Sunday, July 14th, 2019 in Twig Refill Store in Spillar’s Lane, Clonakilty.

This bitesize event has been organised by Sinead Crowley from The Cool Planet Experience, Rosemarie MacSweeney from the International Energy Research Centre in UCC, and Dr Tara Shine and Madeleine Murray from Change by Degrees.
Speakers (2pm-5pm) will include Michaela Peters from the Nu Wardrobe, Ali Wheeler from Hot Knickers, Bernie Connolly from the Cork Environmental Forum, with a fantastic, interactive demo from Reidín Beattie from Warrior Botanicals.
Afterwards, guests will participate in a one hour repair hour with local cobblers and dressmakers to learn how to make your favourite pieces last longer.
Tickets are a bargain €5 and available now on Eventbrite.
