Learn how to fix your own bike for free at this pop-up workshop

Keeping a closer eye on your moola lately?
If you get about by bike and you’d like to learn how to carry out simple fixes yourself instead of paying someone else to do your repairs, there’s a free class on just that happening this week.
As part of Cork’s Lifelong Learning Festival, which is running free learning activities across Cork city throughout this week, a Bike Maintenance workshop will take place at Cork City Libraries, The Carnegie Courtyard on the Grand Parade on Tuesday, March 28th from 1pm to 2pm.
Completely free to attend, the workshop will cover the basics of bike maintenance, “from what to look for before you start any journey to simple fixes for gears and brakes”.
You can even bring your own bike along to learn how to keep it on the road for longer. There’s no need to book either, just pop in and take part.
Almost 400 individual free Lifelong Learning events will take place all over Cork City throughout the week in a variety of venues across a huge range of interests.
The festival covers a huge range of diverse topics from poetry to photography and dance to digital skills.
