Lace up and Skate for Hope at the Marina Market this weekend

It’s probably the most fun you can have while exercising.
And if you’ve got a pair of roller skates gathering dust in the shed, there’s an excellent chance to get some use out of them for a great cause this weekend.
On Saturday, August 26th, skaters of all ages and abilities will be gathering at The Marina Market to Skate for Hope.
The event, organised by Cork Figure Skating Association, kicks off at 2.30pm so it’s the ideal way to burn off lunch if you get there early enough to hit the food stalls first.
“All money raised will go to the Hope Foundation, a Cork-based charity working with street and slum children in Kolkata India.” said the organisers.

“Club skates are available to borrow for the event and everyone is welcome to come along and donate.”
All you have to do is show up on the day and join in the fun.
