It’s not too late to book Cork Craft Month’s final crafty workshops – here’s what’s on

It’s been an incredibly crafty few weeks.
But if you missed out on the many brilliant events that took place all over the county as part of Cork Craft Month throughout August, there’s still time to get your hands dirty and try something new.
The last week of the month-long craft fair will see three key events going ahead and there’s still time to get involved.
Whether you’re up for a bit of DIY tile-making (could be handy if you’re redoing the kitchen) or interested in learning how to dye wool without using any nasty chemicals, these are the classes to book now:
TIE DYE WOOL KERCHIEF WORKSHOP WITH MALÚ COLORÍN AND LIADAIN AIKEN
- Monday, August 28th, 10.30am–3pm, €45
- WHERE: Outback of Levis Corner House, Ballydehob, Main Street, Cork
Natural Dye expert Malú Colorín of Talú will team up with local knitwear designer Liadain Aiken to host a natural dye and knit workshop. Liadain will supply pre-knit 100 percent merino lamb’s wool kerchiefs (small neck scarves) to be tie-dyed with Malú natural dyes.
ALL AT SEA – TILE-MAKING WORKSHOP WITH BERNADETTE TUITE
- Wednesday, August 30th, 4pm–6.30pm, FREE.
- WHERE: Backwater Artist Studios Courtyard, Wandesford Quay, Cork
Join Ceramic artist Bernadette Tuite for this have-a-go, sea-inspired tile-making workshop inspired by found materials from local Atlantic shores.
CCM CLOSING EVENT, GREYWOODS ARTS
- Thursday, August 31st, 6pm – 9pm, FREE.
- Greywoods Art, Main Street, Killeagh, Cork
Join the Cork Craft and Design Team for a final event bringing Cork Craft Month 2023 to a close for the 14th year in a row.
