Kinsale is hosting a proper old-fashioned winter festival and market

Seeking some of those glowy Christmas vibes?
Head for Kinsale on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 to soak up the best of the season along with some salty sea air.
This year the Kinsale Chamber of Tourism & Business has teamed up with Kinsale Farmer’s Market to host a day of festive fun at its first-ever Midwinter Festival.
The Kinsale Farmer’s Market will stay open until the later time of 6pm on the day and the stalls will extend into Short Quay, creating a cosy outdoor shopping hub where you can pick up everything from condiments for the dinner table to crafty gifts.
The town’s boutiques will stay open even later to give visitors an opportunity to browse after dark and there’ll be loads going on to entertain the kids too with carol singing, storytelling with the bard, Paddy Doyle (10am, 2pm and 4pm) games and music.

A special winter walk with Barry Moloney will leave the Tourist Office at 11.15am too, you can join that for €8.
