Killarney coffee shop and wine bar Luna is opening a Cork outpost this summer

Cork coffee lovers have a new spot to look forward to this summer.
Popular Killarney café and wine bar Luna is set to open its first city outpost on Leeside, taking over a premises on Academy Street in the middle of Cork City.
The brother-and-sister duo behind Luna first opened the doors of the Killarney spot in 2022, creating a space that blends speciality coffee, good food, and relaxed wine-bar vibes.
Now, after four years of building the brand, the team is bringing the Luna experience to Cork city, with a brand new space currently being fitted out and hopes to open by the end of July.

The café has become known for its carefully chosen West Cork coffee, signature drinks, house-baked pastries and fresh focaccia sandwiches, offering the kind of all-day stop that works equally well for a morning coffee run or a catch-up with friends.
But Luna isn’t just about caffeine.

The Killarney favourite also has a small natural-leaning wine offering, with bottles available to take home from its shop and a selection of wines by the glass for anyone who wants to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere.
The new Cork location will bring that same mix of coffee, food and wine to the city, giving locals a new place to grab a pastry, pick up a bottle or linger over a glass in the evening.
Sharing the news, the team said they are “super excited” to fit out the new space.
