Join this fun city nature walk and get to know Cork’s adorable otter residents

Learning more about local wildlife while getting those steps in surrounded by nature beats schlepping it out in the gym any day of the week, in our book.
Now Cork Nature Network has announced an exciting event for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
A guided walk along the Cork City Otter Trail will take place on Saturday, June 10th at 11am, as part of this year’s Harbour Festival. Ideal for nature lovers and the just-plain-curious, it’s a fantastic opportunity to learn more about these fascinating creatures and the important role they play in our ecosystem.

Led by Cork Nature Network’s Campaign Manager John Armstrong, the walk will offer a unique insight into the world of otters. Armstrong, an expert in otter ecology, will share his knowledge and experience of these elusive creatures, highlighting the importance of the River Lee for their survival.
Participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather, as the walk will take place rain or shine. The event is open to all and you can reserve your spot for free here.
