It’s a warm and humid week ahead for Cork as temps climb back up to 25C

Summer’s not done yet.
If you’ve been craving a bit of sun after a dull weekend, today’s shaping up nicely, with loads more vitamin D on the way throughout this week and into the weekend.
Warmer air moving up and while it may ease off a little for Thursday it now looks likely to rebuild again for the weekend. There is a risk of localised thunderstorms breaking out but lots of sunny spells to come. pic.twitter.com/XQAaluHOoh

Tonight will start off calm and largely dry with clear skies, but later on we could see a scattering of showers – some heavy or even thundery in places. It’ll be another mild, muggy night, with temperatures holding between 12 and 16 degrees.
Pollen levels will be moderate today and tomorrow, while the solar UV index is high both days – so slap on that sunscreen if you’re out enjoying the sun.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, August 12th) will begin bright and dry, but scattered showers will develop as the day moves on. It’ll be another warm one, with highs of 22 to 26 degrees in light southeasterly breezes.
Looking ahead:
Wednesday: Warm, humid, and sunny to start, but showers or bursts of rain will push in from the south – possibly with some thunderstorms. Highs of 21 to 25 degrees.
Thursday: A mix of cloud, sun, and scattered showers.
Friday: Rain will clear to leave longer spells of sunshine in the afternoon.
Weekend: Still warm with temps in the low to mid-20s and plenty of dry spells, though the odd shower could still make an appearance.
