Healthy baking company Bean Brownie is closing down for good after a decade in business.
The café, which was opened by Sarah Sexton and her partner Alan on Ballinlough Road in 2018 after their healthy black bean brownies proved a hit at local farmer’s markets, will be much missed by locals.
“Regrettably, Bean Brownie will be ceasing trading at the end of June.” the company owners announced on social media.
“Our BAKESHOP doors are closing on June 30th, along with our production unit. Our small homegrown baking project turned into the best rollercoaster ride, filled with amazing memories and people too numerous to squeeze into a social media post.

“Our entire team has been the most amazing group of people to work with and a testament to what can be achieved when creativity, effort, and passion come together.
“To our customers, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us this opportunity to spend time with you for almost 10 years. Your support and goodwill made it all possible, and it has sincerely been the biggest pleasure. We are beyond grateful for having shared this journey with you.”
