Irish Rail says major works will affect Cork passengers this weekend

Travelling by train this weekend?
Iarnród Éireann has advised customers that a revised timetable will be in place throughout Easter on all routes.
Customers are advised to check times before travel from Good Friday, April 7th to Easter Monday, April 10th inclusive for revised schedules.
A number of major works are scheduled across the network, but Cork passengers are most likely to have their plans disrupted by track and bridge renewal works taking place between Portlaoise and Thurles from the afternoon of Good Friday to the morning of Easter Monday.
As a result, a revised timetable will operate between Dublin Heuston and Cork, Tralee and Limerick with bus transfers between Portlaoise and Thurles in both directions.
Advance booking is essential during these times.
