Cork’s most iconic 80s night is coming back for a one-night reunion party

Dust off your leg warmers and tease your hair.
Cork’s most iconic 80s night is returning for a one-night-only reunion event on April 14th at the Pavillion Bar on Carey’s Lane.
Originally held at the Savoy in 2008, Electric Dreams quickly became a staple of the Cork nightlife scene, attracting a loyal following of 80s enthusiasts who couldn’t get enough of the retro vibe. Over the years, the event expanded to venues all over the country, hosting legendary acts like Cyndi Lauper and Go West.
Now, after 15 years of Electric Dreams, the original DJs Colm Lougheed and Patrick Ahern are excited to celebrate their legacy with a reunion event that promises to be even bigger and better than before.
The night will kick off with a classic 80s movie on the big screen, followed by the Electric Dreams DJs playing the greatest hits of the decade, complete with music videos. Partygoers will even enjoy 80s sweets and cocktails on the night.
“We loved running the event in numerous venues across the city over the years,” said Colm Lougheed.
“The themes, the costumes, the disco lights, and the people who attended every event made it a fun night. We’re thrilled to be back to celebrate 15 years of Electric Dreams.”
This event is free in at the Pavillion Bar and the movie will start around 8pm, with the tunes kicking off at 10pm.
Let’s party like it’s 1985.
