Ireland’s first LGBTS inclusive community choir is seeking sopranos and basses

Ready to channel that back-to-school energy?
If you’ve got a decent set of pipes and you’d like to take your singing out of the shower and into the world this autumn, Ireland’s first LGBTS inclusive community choir is seeking sopranos and basses.
Cork’s Choral Con Fusion usually recruits new members in September and January, but the choir still has some spots available this season, so it’s good news if you’ve been dragging your feet.
Established in late 2010, the group aims not only to make musical progress “but also to be a bridge between communities and to be an organisation that would welcome everyone equally, regardless of musical experience, sexual orientation, gender, or background”.

The choir has grown consistently since its first rehearsal with just eight people and has performed in a wide variety of venues and contexts.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings in Cork City and no previous experience is required.
