IKEA rival JYSK is opening in Cork – with more than one store on the way

Here’s some exciting news for home decor enthusiasts.
Danish home retail brand JYSK is opening a store in Youghal before Christmas, and they’re currently scouting more locations on Leeside.
The company hopes to have the Youghal store operational by November 2019.
JYSK will be another new spot to nab a stylish sofa or trendy dining table for less and their kitchen accessories, duvets and bedding have a reputation for being some of the best cut-price buys on the market.

The first Irish store opened in Naas earlier this year, performing second best out of 1,200 stores across the JYSK Nordic division of the group in its first month.
A second JYSK opens in Porlaoise this weekend.
As part of their plan to roll out 40 store openings across Ireland in five years, the brand is due to arrive in Cork, Limerick, Sligo and Waterford before early 2020, creating hundreds of new jobs.
Speaking to Yay Cork, a company spokesperson confirmed the brand believes there is scope for between two and six stores in Cork.

JYSK will host a meet and greet with potential landlords in the Red Cow Moran Hotel in Dublin on Monday, September 16th, 2019, inviting landlords from across the country to meet with the JYSK team and present their available properties on the day.
