If you’re one of thousands of Cork folk who decamp to Courtmac for part of the summer, there’ll be a new spot to soak up the scenery this year.
The forward-thinking duo behind the Lifeboat Inn have decided to make the most of the stunning waterside views by building a huge decking area overlooking Courtmacsherry Bay.
The gastropub, which opened last year under chef Martin Buckley and David O’Halloran, has been building a sizzling reputation for sensational food through the winter.
As the weather warms up and visitors begin to flock to the picturesque village, we predict this will be the spot to be seen.
We can’t wait to grab a table by the sea and enjoy a bottle of Chablis over Roaring Water Bay oysters and Union Hall crab claws.
The new outdoor seating area will be complete by the May bank holiday. Now all we need is a bit of sunshine…
