They sell four million of the things every year in Paris, and the owners of the newest addition at Cork’s Marina Market are hoping locals are just as enamoured with their fresh macarons.
Macarons Studio is now open at the Ballintemple foodie hot spot, complete with an adorable new facade and a delectable selection of crunchy, chewy confections.
Visitors can choose from a variety of different types of macarons, including pistachio, lemon, mango, raspberry, and vanilla ice.

There’s also a Nutella flavour, a Snickerdoodle, caramel, passion fruit, Martini Orange, and a banana macaron.
The best bit? They’re less than 100 calories per macaron so you can indulge your sweet tooth with a coffee or a juice guilt-free.
Macarons Studio macarons are €3 each, with a box of four available for €11.
