Here’s your first glimpse at the new mural on Cork’s Grand Parade

It’s not what we were expecting.
When artists first started plotting the latest large scale mural in Bishop Lucey Park over the weekend, the first patterns to emerge were a series of hearts and symbols.
This week however, a beautiful image of a dark haired, pensive-looking woman has emerged from the original etchings.
The stunning work, by ‘Australia’s Banksy’, street artist Fintan Magee, who has created murals all over the world, from Australia to Oregon, the mural is part of a collaboration between Cork City Council and Waterford Walls, who have been working together to transform the city’s dull, unused spaces into impressive works of art.
