Hamlets of Kinsale has unveiled a gorgeous new Street Food and Gastro Garden, a comfy outdoor space where you can soak up the summer sunshine while enjoying a delicious meal alfresco.

Open from 12pm to 9pm daily, seven days a week, you can pop in for a bite to eat or reserve a table before your visit. Treat yourself to a fresh wood-fired pizza before you hit the beach or indulge in Hamlet’s signature barbecue dishes and gourmet food truck options to finish off the perfect day of sightseeing.

Seafood fans can tuck into Hamlet’s signature Fish in Pale Ale Batter and chips, served with tartare sauce, mushy peas and a fresh lemon wedge or Crispy Breaded Fish Bites served in a pitta pocket with Horizon Farm leaves, curry mayo and Pico de Gallo salsa.

A twist on a classic, the Prawn Cocktail Ciabatta Roll is stuffed with fresh prawns, house Marie Rose sauce, fresh leaves, crispy fried onions and fries – heavenly.

Summer wouldn’t be the same without a sizzling burger or two; try The Pitmaster, a 6oz patty of West Cork beef, pulled free-range Rosscarbery pork shoulder, streaky bacon, Irish cheddar and Sriracha mayo in a brioche bun or sink your teeth into The Cork Dog; Chorizo pork sausage, pickles, fried onions, ketchup and mustard on a ciabatta roll.

Carnivores need look no further than the West Cork Pig – Ballinwilling House black pudding, pork shoulder, smoked scamorsa cheese, crispy sage and mango chutney, all served up with crispy fresh-cut fries.

The kids will love it too; little diners can try the new Bubble Gum Milkshake, a Mr Whippy Floater and a tempting Kids Menu while grown-ups savour an Iced Chocolate Latte or a Passionfruit Mojito from the creative cocktail menu with their meal.
