It’s another scorcher, so by now you’re probably dreaming of ways to escape the summer sizzle.

Earlier we brought you the news that Carraig Na Bhfear’s famous outdoor swimming pool is now open, and now there’s a second glorious spot to add to your heatwave list.

Turns out there’s another outdoor swimming pool in Cuil Aodha (Coolea) near Macroom.

If you’re not a fan of the beach, Linn Snámha Chúil Aodha opens annually during June and July, offering locals and visitors the chance to get a few lengths in without missing the summer sunshine.

And with record-breaking temperatures being recorded all over Ireland, now is the time to dive in.

Heated and chlorinated, the Coolea pool opens for the morning swim every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning from 8am-9am, so office workers can cool off before starting the day.
