Just ten minutes from Mitchelstown, the newly renovated and refurbished gate lodge is set in the grounds of a historic house on the borders of three counties: Cork, Limerick and Tipperary.

It sleeps three guests in one bedroom with two beds and one sofa bed.

Nestled at the foot of the majestic Galtee mountains, the highest inland mountain range in Ireland, guests can walk straight out the door and into a forestry area full of trails or continue into the hills for some serious exploring.

The historic towns of Cahir and Cashel are a stone’s throw away and there’s plenty to check out locally, including some of “Europe’s finest show caves”, Mitchelstown Caves.
