Here comes the rain again: ‘Quite cold’ and wet weather in Cork as autumn returns

It’s pretty miserable out there.
But as Met Éireann confirms this morning, it’s probably time to embrace the grim weather, dig out a raincoat and light the fire.
The national forecaster is predicting a soggy few days ahead for Cork and indeed the rest of the country.
“Today will be cloudy across Munster with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, especially in the south. Rain will become lighter and patchier this evening.” said a forecaster.
Highest temperatures will hover between 11 to 14 degrees, dropping to between 4C and 7C after dark.
Outbreaks of rain in Munster & south Leinster will move up over Leinster through the morning & afternoon & into east Ulster this evening, possibly heavy at times, especially in the south🌧️
Connacht & most of Ulster will be dry with bright or sunny spells, best in the northwest🌥️ pic.twitter.com/lQOi6DVpU3

Thursday will start off mainly dry, but rain will extend southwards through the morning and will continue for the rest of the day, possibly turning heavy at times, with highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees.
Friday will be a cool, bright day with sunny spells and scattered showers with temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, but Friday night will be cold with a touch of grass frost possible as temperatures dip to 2 to 6 degrees.
If you’re planning some outdoor activities, your best bet is Saturday, which will be cool and bright with sunny spells and just well-scattered showers.
