It’s been a loooong week.

Right about now we start dreaming of toasting the weekend with a few cheeky cocktails. If you’re hankering after a tipple or two, look no further than Electric.

Cork’s favourite art deco meet-up spot has just completed a total refresh of their cocktail menu.

As well as all the usual suspects, like the Espresso and the Aero Mint Martini, the Aperol Spritz and the Whiskey Sour, there are a few new additions to the line-up that have us salivating into our desks right now.

For gin lovers there’s a massive selection of artisan gins, as well as gin cocktails such as the Holiday in Kinsale – Kinsale Gin, Archers Peach, Grenadine, orange, cranberry, lime, lemon or the Apple A Day – Kinsale Gin, Crème de Cassis, apple, elderflower and lime (both €9.50).

Plus you get a free Fever Tree tonic with every gin ordered after 10pm.

And if you’re scouting locations for pre-drinks with the gang before hitting the town, all Electric’s tasty daiquiris and margaritas (including the Blue Margarita, with Olmeca Tequila Silver, Cointreau and Blue Curacao and the Peach Daiquiri, with Bacardi, peach purée and lemon) are available frozen in 1.5ltr. pitcher for sharing (€39).

There’s also a novel new menu of alcohol-free cocktails for non-drinkers, pregnant pals and designated drivers.

Why not sip a Freshmaker (pineapple, grapefruit, almond syrup, Blue Curacao syrup, lemon, lime, tonic – €6.50) or a Safe Sex on the Beach – a blend of peach purée, Grenadine, orange, cranberry and citrus.

Yum.

There’s even a Frozen Blue Orange DaCARie – orange, grapefruit, blue curacao syrup, lime, lemon.

Pop in after 10pm and you can order two house cocktails for €12.
