Hedderman’s have opened a Tasting Room at their working smoke house on Cork Harbour

They’re some of Cork’s best artisan foodies.
And now fellow food fans can stay a while and indulge in a platter of delicious smoked fish at Hedderman’s Belvelly Smoke House near Cobh.
After three years of planning, the family business, winner of the prestigious Walter Scheel Medaille, has just unveiled a cosy new Tasting Room.
“Our Tasting Room is finally ready… we reckon it can seat up to 14 comfortably, 35 theatre style, and there’s more room outdoors if the weather ever improves!” they announced on X.
Brolly & Brexit-ready after 3 years (more) development, Our Tasting Room is finally ready… we reckon it can seat up to 14 comfortably, 35 theatre style, and there’s more room outdoors if the weather ever improves! “We will be doing small private pre-booked tours and tastings.”
Frank Hedderman and his wife Caroline run the smokehouse and their English Market outlets with an experienced team of smokers.
Guests have the opportunity to taste and savour as they tour the facility, where wild or organic Irish salmon are hung for smoking, and explore the secluded walled garden.
You can also enjoy the thrill of selecting your own side of salmon from the smoker, to be forwarded by courier (free shipping in Ireland) to your home address.
