The beach is the canvas.
Colossal sand murals will continue to be created at Inchydoney Beach in support of Gaza over the Christmas holidays.
The artistic rendezvous, open to all, will take place on December 24th at 9.30am and December 31st at 12 noon – perfectly synced with low tides.
The poignant project is organised by West Cork mutual support group, Le Chéile, which has been uniting every Sunday for the past eight weeks.
They will continue until there is a ceasefire in Gaza.

The organisers are extending an open invitation to the community, urging everyone to come together, express, connect, and create.
“It is a space where discussion happens, where we challenge our ideas of what is needed for a deep and durable peace in the world,” they told Yay Cork.
“We support one another, allow a space to empower ourselves in a society where many people are very depoliticised. The beach provides us with a blank canvas where art and words come together to speak out for those who are suffering and unheard.”
