Attention coffee lovers.
Tuckey Street coffee roasters SOMA opened a second Cork location this morning, so now you can get your caffeine fix on Anglesea Street too.
The new café opened at 7.30am this morning, with a full menu of SOMA lattes, americanos, rich mochas and as well as their tasty house-baked fresh raspberry and raisin scones.
In the past few months, the original SOMA café has spread out onto the newly pedestrianised Tuckey Street, allowing customers to kick back at a table to enjoy a socially-distanced breakfast or lunch alfresco.
Now the SOMA crew, who roast all their carefully sourced green coffees using a Giesen 6kg small-batch coffee roaster, will be serving a brand new clientele, with City Hall, Anglesea Street Garda Station, Cork Fire Brigade and the South Infirmary Hospital just a stone’s throw from the door.
Starting next week, you’ll also be able to get your hands on a SOMA coffee on the other side of town at the Bosca drive-thru facing the car park at the Lee Fields.
In the meantime, they’re hiring a new barista too, so if you’ve got the skills, email your CV to [email protected]
