Need your cup of Joe to-go?
There’s about to be another supremely simple way to get your hands on a lovely latte, americano or mocha without leaving the car; Bosca is opening a drive-thru coffee location on the Carrigrohane Straight, facing the Lee Fields car park.
With final preparations in the bright yellow container underway, the new Bosca will be open late next week.
The business, which previously had a café on the Commons Road, pulled down their shutters in March when the pandemic hit. Now they’re ready to kick back into gear and open up in the ‘new normal’ with a socially distanced offering that makes collecting coffees a breeze, whatever the weather.
It’s also a godsend for parents who don’t need to disturb a sleeping baby (or wangle a toddler into a raincoat) in order to get their hands on a decent caffeinated beverage on the way to the creche or school.
And there’s more good news; Bosca has revealed that the house coffee will be supplied by Cork’s own specialty coffee company and roastery Soma on Tuckey Street so now you can enjoy a Soma brew without venturing into town and looking for parking.
Spin by Bosca at (you can walk up to the counter too) across the road from the Lee Fields car park from Thursday, October 8th.
