Good for the Soul’s new autumn menu is exactly what we want to eat right now

It’s time to say goodbye to summer salads for another year.
Cold weather calls for proper sustenance.
And as the evenings and mornings get ever darker, one Ballincollig café has launched a new winter menu to lure customers hungry for comfort food.
Good for the Soul is serving up a new choice of moreish goodies from this week, thoughtfully developed by their Ballymaloe-trained head chef John Barker.
Their Winter Warming Porridge Bowl is getting all the love on Instagram; a hefty bowl of slow cooked porridge in oat milk, topped with house-stewed apple, toasted walnuts and cinnamon, it’s vegan friendly and guaranteed to set you up for the day.
Other highlights include the pearl barley risotto with roasted squash, walnut and kale, a roast turkey sandwich and the house Three Cheese Toastie…
The popular brunch spot, owned by Sarah Cotter and her husband Eoin, is planning a series of winter pop-ups, with a Supper Club planned for October 19th, 2019.
You can bring your own wine and settle in for a five-course set menu for €45 per person. Send them a message on Facebook to book your spot.
