A brand new pizzeria launches this month at The Black Market on Cork’s Monahan Road and its owner has some serious pie-making credentials.
Simone Di Tuccio will firing up the oven and opening Di Tuccio Italian Pizza at the popular city venue on Saturday, July 19th.

After seven years of working in pizzerias all over the globe, Simone is finally taking the leap and starting his own pizzeria, joining a selection of seriously good stalls at The Black Market.
While you’re waiting for Simone to launch, you can head down for epic sandwiches at Tongue Tied Deli (try the Fried Chicken – fried Cajun chicken, pickles, Swiss cheese, lettuce slaw and curry mayo and get a Half Baked handmade ice cream sandwich for dessert).
Birdy Bites is another new addition (they do wings, tenders, burgers and loaded fries) and The Pie Guys, SOMA Coffee, Brendan’s Burritos and Tirab Smash Burger are institutions in their own right.
It’s dog-friendly down there too so you can bring your canine pal to eat your leftovers from Tuesday to Sunday and bank holidays.
