Friends fans couldn’t BE any happier about the Everyman’s latest announcement

Friends has a special place in our hearts.
Like many iconic Nineties shows, there’s something weirdly comforting about watching endless re-runs and spending time with characters we grew up with.
Like its New York neighbour, Sex and the City, we’ve witnessed all the fun, the frolics, the break-ups and the make-ups that fill their lives. And now that Netflix has cancelled the show’s virtual residency, we miss them.
That’s why we’re delighted to see a Broadway and Las Vegas smash hit featuring our favourite Central Perk couch potatoes coming to Cork this Spring.
The Everyman is hosting the all-singing, all-dancing Joey, Rachel, Ross, Chandler, Monica and Phoebe in FRIENDS! The Musical Parody; a show that “celebrates and pokes fun at the wacky misadventures of the group of 20-something pals we love from the hit TV show as they navigate the pitfalls of work, life, and love in 1990’s Manhattan.”

We especially cannot wait to see Uncle Joey, who was famously given honourary citizenship from Irish Twitter last year, after photos of Matt Le Blanc looking like everyone’s culchie uncle appeared online.
FRIENDS! The Musical Parody will take the stage at The Everyman Cork from April 26th-30th, 2022 and we’ll finally get to see the episode we’ve all been waiting for: The One Where They Come to Cork.
