Free, walk-in Covid tests in Cork next week.
Walk-in Covid testing will be available on the grounds of Bandon Community Hospital in Cloghmacsimon on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Cork Kerry Community Healthcare has announced that the pop-up testing centre will operate on the 21st and 22nd of June and run tests from 11am until 7pm. If you decide to head along to be tested, all you need to bring with you is proof of ID, as well as a phone number so you can receive your results.
The requirements for being tested include being over the age of 16, not having any symptoms of Covid, and not having been diagnosed with Covid in the last six months. If you have symptoms of Covid, do not attend the pop-up centre.
Tests by appointment are also available at other sites in Cork, including Cork City and Dunmanway, and you can book a test here.
Dr. Anne Sheahan, Acting Director of HSE South, has encouraged people to avail of the pop-up testing centres, saying: “By coming forward for testing when you don’t have symptoms, you are helping the entire community to keep Covid-19 under control.
“The level of Covid-19 infection in Cork remains stable and walk-in testing like this is one of the ways we can make sure that continues. I encourage anyone in the area to take up this opportunity for testing as it will help us to contain any cases of Covid-19 in the area.”
