Franc built a Brussels sprout Christmas tree (and now we all want one)

Okay, so bear with us on this one.
The Brussels sprout is arguably the most contentious element of the traditional Christmas dinner.
It’s the (super healthy) green vegetable people love to hate every December, labelling it soggy, stinky, vile and visually repulsive.
And fair enough; boiled to within an inch of its life in salted water, it’s not the most appealing looking side dish in the world.
However; Cork’s event styling king Franc (aka Peter Kelly) has given the humble Brussles sprout a festive decor makeover… and now we all want them in our Christmas day table centrepiece.
Still dubious? Feast your eyes on this:
The creative genius behind Weddings By Franc and host of RTE’s Say Yes to the Dress Ireland posted: ‘You may not enjoy Brussels sprouts for #christmasdinner but they do make an amazing centrepiece! Always making our festive decor so unique…’
You can’t deny the miniature cabbages look completely adorable stacked into a tiny Christmas tree.
However, not all of Franc’s fans were convinced on his ode to the little green veggie, with one commenting: ‘Now we’ve found some use for it…’
