Fota Wildlife Park tickets sell out online as visiting restrictions are eased

The first weekend is already sold out online.
But Fota Wildlife Park’s rangers are delighted to be reopening the attraction this morning after months in lockdown, with more dates set to open for booking seven days in advance.
The attraction is one of many facilities permitted to open as part of the next phase of easing restrictions starting today, April 26th, 2021.
Wildlife parks, zoos, open farms and outdoor heritage sites can all reopen, although many will be operating limited visitor numbers to ensure social distancing guidelines can be followed.
Outdoor sports including golf courses and tennis courts can reopen, with non-contact sports such as volleyball, basketball, and dance training for children and teens aged under 18 (in pods of 15) back too.
Attendance at funerals can also increase to 25 mourners, starting today as the further easing of Covid-19 Level 5 restrictions comes into effect.
What’s next?
The National Public Health Emergency Team is set to meet this Wednesday to discuss the easing of further restrictions in May.
An Taoiseach Micheál Martin is due to address the nation with news of the plans for the summer on Thursday.
