The Montenotte Hotel just unveiled a new addition to its wellness area; a swish Salt Room is now available to all guests visiting Bellevue Spa as a 40-minute wellness experience, following their spa treatment.

Nestled within the heart of Bellevue Spa, the Salt Room promises an experience that “transcends the ordinary, providing a haven for both body and soul.”

“For centuries, salt has been praised for its therapeutic and healing properties – The Salt Room harnesses this wisdom as small salt particles are diffused into the air, creating a microclimate reminiscent of natural salt caves,” they told us.

“The walls, crafted from over 1400 Himalayan salt bricks directly from the Himalayas in Pakistan, exude a warm, rosy glow that bathes the room in a soft, nurturing light.

“From the moment guests enter the room, the salt will begin to absorb excess moisture in the lungs, effectively purifying airways, removing allergens, and facilitating full, unrestricted breathing while elevating the oxygen intake.”

Inhaling salty air has been scientifically proven to aid those suffering from asthma and allergies, all while boosting the immune system. The microscopic salt particles delicately exfoliate the skin too, leaving it rejuvenated and radiant.

Guests are invited to recline on a plush chaise lounge within The Salt Room and allow their bodies to absorb the natural minerals.

The Salt Room is part of The Montenotte’s ongoing elevation of its spa offerings, following a recent partnership with Grown Alchemist, an Australian skincare brand, in which The Montenotte became the first hotel in Ireland to offer Grown Alchemist treatments and products.
