Look away now, Murphy’s, Beamish and Mi Daza fans.
A Guinness Storehouse pop-up shop has just opened on Leeside, taking over the Finns Corner building on the corner of Grand Parade and Washington Street… just a stone’s throw from the Beamish brewery.
Launching today, the store will sell a range of stout-themed gifts, including a Guinness Foodie Kit, a Home Bar Starter Kit and a hamper tailored for rugby fans until January.
Reactions have been mixed so far, with some good-natured outrage and plenty of excitement among fans fo the black stuff.

The design of the pop-up is inspired by key elements from the Home of Guinness in Dublin, recreated on Leeside; home of the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.
“In our Cork store at Finns Corner, festive shoppers will be immersed in stunning visuals throughout the store, paying homage to the historical location.” said a Guinness spokesperson.
“For those looking for something a little personal, each of our pop-up stores will have pint glass engraving facilities, giving you the perfect opportunity to gift your friends and family a pint with their name on it!”
Each pop-up store will be filled with beautiful Guinness hampers along with some of the Storehouse’s most coveted and unique gifts including the Guinness Black Velvet Kit (€59) and the Guinness Home Bar Starter Kit (€75).
Opening hours are Monday – Saturday from 11am – 7pm and Sunday from 12pm – 6pm.
