Planning a wedding is no joke.

You’re expected to be everything to everybody; a combination of Franc and Marie Antoinette, laying on a packed schedule of events to entertain and enthrall your guests, which also keeping a tight grip on your budget.

Now an Irish TV company want to give you a helping hand in organising your big day – and they’ll even throw in a little pre-wedding holiday to boot.

Coco Television and RTÉ 2 are now inviting applications for their wedding show My Big Day: Home or Away.

In each episode, one lucky couple is given the services of two top class wedding planners, Bruce Russell and Tara Fay.

Tasked with making the couple’s dreams come true within their wedding budget, one planner arranges a wedding at home in Ireland, while one plans a wedding away.

After visiting both venues and seeing what’s on offer, the couple decide which wedding planner is the winner – all while having their bash expertly planned, free of charge.
